The 2008 Drive & Shoot is scheduled for November 6, 2008.  The third annual “APD Drive & Shoot“ will be held at the Atlanta Police Department’s Herbert T. Jenkins Training Center.  Citizens and corporate workers have a unique opportunity to participate in training designed for Atlanta Police Officers, consisting of firearms range shooting, firearms training simulator (FATS), running the obstacle course, operating the car skid simulator, and training with SWAT.  Companies who sponsor teams for this event find that it is a tremendously successful team-building experience for their employees.  As well, it gives all of them a greater appreciation of the APD officers and the demands of their profession. Participants will be given a complimentary gift bag, t-shirt and catered dinner with Chief Richard Pennington and the APD Command Staff.
